Areas of Amsterdam
Medieval Center
The medieval center and the most touristic area of ​​Amsterdam. Known for its traditional architecture, canals, shops and coffeeshops. Dam Square is considered the center of Amsterdam, but the areas around Nieuwmarkt and Spui are just as interesting. The Red District is part of the center.
Channel area
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Canal Area was excavated and created in the 17th century to attract wealthy residents. It is still a posh neighborhood with many Dutch celebrities living here. Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein are the main nightlife centers.
Jordaan

It was designed as an extension of the canal area, however it is an area with lots of greenery, botanical gardens, and zoos. Includes Weesperbuurt and Oostelijke Eilanden.
Southern Suburbs (Zuid)
One of the key areas, a trip to the city is not complete without a visit to the museum area. You can relax in the Vondelpark with a glass of wine, or look for Albert Cuyp Market opportunities. It is the most popular area for accommodation, as the prices are cheaper than the center.
West Suburbs
The western suburbs are a large area built in the 19th and 20th centuries in the architectural style of Amsterdam. Vondelbuurt has beautiful villas and Westerpark is known for its cultural attractions.
Northern Suburbs (Noord)
