The country of Andros

THE Man's is the second largest island in the Cyclades, after Naxos. It is located in the northern part of the Cyclades and is located between Evia and Tinos.

According to mythology, the name of the island was taken from Andros, the first inhabitant of the island. The history of the island mentions other names, such as Idrousa and Lasia.

  •   Paleopolis. - the ancient capital of Andros where the statue of Hermes was found, which is now on display at the Archaeological Museum. At the highest point of the village there are the only waterfalls in the Prefecture of Cyclades.


How to get there

Access to Andros is by boat with ferries departing from its port Ραφήνας. Andros is also connected by ferry again with its islands Of Tinos and her Mykonos.

How to move

The transportation is done by car, but from Chora depart buses that go to Gavrio and Korthi. There are also companies that rent cars or motorcycles such as Hertz, Budget,Imperial Andros
