What to see
Country of Ios
- Country. The main settlement is very picturesque with small streets and white houses. During the day it is a quiet, peaceful place, while at night it turns into a party area.
- Tomb of Homer.
- Open theater.
- Archaeological Museum.
- Old castle (Paleokastro).
- Marina (at the port).
- Manganari beach. At the southernmost point of the island. Because it is far from Chora, it does not gather a lot of people.

Port of Ios
- Pepper (Former old Byron's) (Behind the lower square, behind the pharmacies is the Astra bar), ☎ 30 69 7819 2212. It serves appetizers, a mix of Mediterranean cuisine and seafood
- Ali Babas (on Alpha Bank Street). 12 lt cocktails served in two goldfish bowls with neon-colored foot long straws for € 35. Pad Thai or green curry, chicken and mushroom pie, fish & chips and "dinosaur ribs ". Restaurant fills up in the later hours and the waitstaff take pictures of the partying and then flash them up on the restaurant's big screen. A / C, wheelchair access. Serves alcohol.
- Koulidas (Unique), Koulidas (To Plakotos (tomb of Homer)). Unique view of the island with international cuisine and grilled dishes of the hour.
- Far Out Village. Restaurant - bar, overlooking the beach of Mylopotas.
- Harmony. Mexican restaurant overlooking the beach. Go after sunset, otherwise you will be surrounded by flies.
- Κατόϊ (under the homonymous bar). Greek cuisine, appetizers
- Lord Byron (opposite Pomodoro and Disco 69). Nice small restaurant, Greek cuisine, known for cocktails and homemade desserts.
- Mansion (Over Disco 69). Old name "Pomodoro". International cuisine
- The Mills. Traditional Greek food, delicious food at low prices
- Cantina del mar (Beach Bar Ios), Mylopotas beach, ☎ 30 22 8609 1016. 8 AM-1AM. sandwiches, salads, smoothies and delicious waffles.
- Porkys (next to the Red Bull Bar). Giros souvlaki.
- The Nest (after the Orange Bar). traditional Greek tavern at reasonable prices
- Harmony, Mylopotas beach (to the right of the beach, looking at the sea). Mexican, usually has live music
- Enigma, Port of Ios (Next to the supermarket). International cuisine with nice harbor views
- Funky Garden. In the beach
- Fiesta Restaurant, Country (on the way to the port, 2 minutes from Sweet Irish Dreams), ☎ 30 22 8609 1766. Friendly tavern with Greek and English owner. Greek and international cuisine, known for its pizzas in the oven, grilled meats and homemade wine.
