THE Northern Macedonia (Slavo-Macedonian: Северна Македонија, Severna Makedonija, Albanian: Makedonia e Veriut), officially Republic of Northern Macedonia (Slavo-Macedonian: Republika Severna Makedonija, Republika Severna Makedonija, Albanian: Republika e Makedonija e Veriut) is an enclosed country in the Balkans. It borders with Serbia and Kosovo to the north, the Bulgaria to the east, the Albania to the west and Hellas at South.
Although Northern Macedonia is easily accessible from all points, it remains one of the last countries in Europe that have not yet been discovered by travelers. It is a combination of mountains, lakes and rivers, important historical finds and idyllic villages that have remained unchanged over the centuries. The majority of the population are Slavo-Macedonians and Christian Orthodox, while there is a large Muslim Albanian minority. The country represents the character of the Balkans, including an interesting combination of Greek, Albanian, Turkish and Mediterranean influences.
