THE Dragon hole is a village of the Municipality of Mouzaki, Karditsa. It is 40 km from Karditsa and 30 of them Trikala. Known for many centuries as Sklataina, it was the homeland of Agios Dionysios on Olympus (born 1500) and the seat of swordsmanship for almost the entire period of Ottoman rule. One of its settlements still bears the name Spathes.

THE Vatsounia is a semi-mountainous settlement in the area of ​​Karditsa at a distance of 10 km. from Mouzaki, sparsely populated among chestnut, fir and oak forests and belongs to the Municipality of Mouzaki. It is located at the northwestern end of the prefecture, near the borders with the prefecture of Trikala, 43 km west of Karditsa.

The current inhabitants of Drakotripa come from a very large percentage from the area of ​​Mastorochorion Konitsa and specifically from Bliss (d) Gianni (note. Λαγκάδας). They were stone craftsmen (koudaroi) and used a sign language, the mastorika (koudaritika), to communicate in their work, as in most craftsmen villages of Epirus. It is located at an altitude of 650 meters and is surrounded by fir forest, while there are springs with thermal waters and the cave "dragon hole" to which the name of the village is due.

The river Pamisos cools the village of Vatsounia, as it passes through the center of the settlement and flows into Pinios. The riparian vegetation is rich and the bird fauna is interesting. There are three springs in the area of ​​Vatsounia, but one of them, the source "Sklithro" is easily accessible. The other two sources, "Sami" and "Goura", are difficult to access.

  •   Monastery of the Holy Trinity. At an altitude of 800 meters overlooking the mountain peaks of Drum and Karavoula. It was built in 1743 and illustrated in 1758 by the painter Theodoros, a priest from Agia Larissa. In recent years, with the offers and care of the villagers, auxiliary houses have been built in which two nuns live. The church of Ai-Giannis tou Prodromos (1741) is of the same era as the monastery.

In the village of Drakotripa there is a library all year round and a museum with exhibits of the 18th and 19th century is under construction.
