THE Epanomi (or as it was formerly written Epanomi) is located to the southeast Thessaloniki at a distance of 30km from the city center.

At a glance

It has an area of ​​91,541 acres and its actual population according to the 2001 census is 9,055 inhabitants. Its coastline reaches 40km while its cape is the geographical boundary of Thermaikos gulf. From 1997 the then Municipality of Epanomi consisted of the municipal districts of Epanomi and Mesimeri. After the municipal elections of 2011 with the Kallikratis plan, the municipalities of Epanomi, Michaniona and Thermaikos were united in a single municipality called the Municipality of Thermaikos.
