THE Skulls Aspropotamos Trikala (or Kranea, see: La Kornu) is a Vlach mountain village in the prefecture of Trikala at a distance of 72km from Trikala. It is built at an altitude of 1,150 meters on the slopes of southern Pindos. In the past it was an important center for the production and trade of woolen fabrics, which remained known as "skoutia skulls".

What to see
- Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos or Ag. Zone, Skulls. It was founded at the end of the 18th century. and was destroyed in 1943 by the Germans. Only the church of the Holy Cross survived. It is a monument of rare architectural value, especially in terms of the complexity of the central dome.
- Folklore Museum, Skulls. In the year 2001, a folklore museum was opened for the first time in Krania. Its creator was the cultural association of the village. It is housed in the village school that was renovated for this reason. The museum has a number of exhibits such as traditional textiles, loom, bridal bed & shamanitsa, kitchenware and a large photographic archive.

- Festival on the 15th of August, Skulls. On August 15, the top festival takes place in the church of the Holy Cross, with a large attendance. A Divine Liturgy is performed with a bread class and a folk feast follows.
