Important cities

  •   Lucerne - Historic city on the shores of the lake of the same name and a great tourist destination.
  •   Andermat - Resort and ski resort at the foot of Gemstock
  •   Veggis - Resort on the shores of Lake Lucerne
  •   Brunen - Another resort on the shores of Lake Lucerne.
  •   Chug - Lakeside town, capital of the homonymous canton.

Additional destinations

  •   Mount Pilates - Popular tourist destination. A cable car reaches its top at an altitude of 2,128 m.
  •   Stansehorn - Second highest mountain in central Switzerland. And the top of Stansherhorn is accessible by cable car.
  •   Engelberg - Popular ski resort in the canton of Obwalden.
