  •   Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourier (Notre-Dame de Fourvière Basilica), Place de Fourvière. The church was founded in 1872 on the top of Fourier Hill.
  •   Fourier Tower (Metal tour of Fourvière). After finishing your visit to Panagia Fouvrier you will climb the nearby watchtower to admire the view of the lower city. This tower was built between 1892 and 1894, five years after the completion of the Eiffel Tower, which is quite similar. However, its height is 86 meters, ie 1/4 of the tower of Paris, but because it is located at the top of the Fourier Hill, it also offers a 360 degree panorama. *.
  •   Roman theater (Antique Lyon Theater).
  •   St. John's Cathedral (Saint-Jean Cathedral), Place Saint Jean.
  •   Museum of Fine Arts20, place des Terreaux. The Lyon Museum of Fine Arts is considered its most important France after his Louvre Paris. It was closed to the public during the period 1988-1999 for renovation. The archeological exhibition includes sculptures from ancient Greece and Egypt while in the gallery of the museum you will admire works by El Greco, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and other leading European painters of all times.
  •   Museum of Contributions (Museum of Confluence). The Museum of Advice was inaugurated on December 20, 2104 and in a period of just 6 months received more than 500,000 visitors. It owes its peculiar name to its location. It is located at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers. The museum contains remarkable collections with prehistoric relics. Undoubtedly the most famous exhibits are the giant skeletons of a mammoth discovered in 1859 in the Choulans district of Lyon and an 18-meter-long, 20-ton canopy that lived in the North American meadows 155,000 years ago. The innovative glass and steel building that houses the museum had a total cost of € 330 million.

Entertainment

Since 1852, the year in which the gilded statue of the Virgin Mary was erected on the hill of Fourier, the Fête des Lumières (Feast of Lights - unrelated to the Epiphanies of Orthodoxy) has been celebrated as a custom. The custom is to place lighted candles, in colored glass cups, in the windows of the town houses. Since 1989, the traditional celebration is accompanied by the organization of various events and spectacles under the auspices of the town hall. Also, every year an annual festival is organized in the city. In the single years the festival of contemporary art is organized, while in the evenings the dance festival is organized. Each of these two festivals is based on a specific theme each year and attracts spectators and tourists from all over the world.
