THE Mani is its historical area Peloponnese. Today, Mani consists of the municipalities of West Mani, based in Kardamili, and East Mani, based in Gythio and historical seat on Areopolis. The municipality of West Mani belongs to the P.E. Messinia and the municipality of Eastern Mani belongs to the P.E. Laconia.
