Megalithic temples of Malta - Μεγαλιθικοί ναοί της Μάλτας

The Megalithic Temples of Malta (Megalithic Temples of Malta) is the name used to describe a group of seven megalithic ensembles located on its islands. Malta and Gozo. These temples were considered to be of exceptional global value by UNESCO, which designated the group as a World Heritage Site, retaining the same name. Initially, the title of cultural heritage monument was given only to the two temples that make up the Jgantia complex on the island of Gozo in 1980. In 1992, however, the title was expanded to include the other six temples on the island of Malta.
