History
The history of the area is long, as evidenced by the rich archaeological findings. Two kilometers northwest of Mouzaki, in the place "Episkopi", is located the ancient city of Gomfos, which controlled the entrances to the ancient Amvrakia, today's Arta, and the country of the Athamans (Argithea area).
