Daxla - Ντάxλα

THE Dahla (Arabic: الداخلة, Spanish: Villa Cisneros) is a seaside town in Western Sahara. It is the second largest city in the country and is built on a narrow, flat peninsula on the African coast of the Atlantic Ocean, 550 kilometers south of the capital El Ayoun. In 2014, its population was estimated at 106,277 inhabitants. Like most areas in Western Sahara, Dahla and neighboring areas are very poor in vegetation and are mainly covered by the Sahara Desert. However, unlike land, seawater has a very rich marine life as ideal climatic conditions for biodiversity prevail.

How to get there

The only direct flight to or from Europe is a seasonal flight from Paris's Orly Airport every Monday to Dahla (Transavia). There is of course the possibility of traveling with stops in Morocco and then landing in El Ayoun (Lagoon) or Dahla.
