THE Southeastern Brazil (Portuguese: Regency of Brazil) is one of its five geographical areas Brazil.
At a glance
Its south-eastern 'part Brazil is the most populous region of the country and the most economically developed. The flourishing of trade, mainly coffee, as well as the exploitation of minerals in the mountains of the state contributed to this. Minas Gerais.
Here are its three big cities Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo and Belo Horizonte. Tourism is also an important branch of the region's economy.
Popular destinations are the seaside resorts of Parati, Guatumba and Guarapari. Next are the national parks of Italy and Serra da Canastra. Also noteworthy are the many towns that flourished during the colonial years such as Urine Preto (Black Gold) and Sao Joao del Rey (Saint John of Riga) .
