THE Sejong City (세종), is its administrative capital South Korea.

At a glance

It is a city in central South Korea, north of Dejon. It has 263,056 inhabitants. The city was proposed as the country's new capital in 2003 to reduce Seoul's influence and dominance over national government and the economy. The city was inaugurated on July 2, 2012 and hosted 36 government offices in 2015.
