Somaliland
THESomaliland is an independent democracy located in the Horn of Africa. It has an area of 134,000 square kilometers and a population of 3.5 million inhabitants. The capital isI sighed. The main languages are Somali and Arabic. The war in Somalia from2006 to date has not affected the country so far. On October 29, 2008, Hargeisa, the capital of Somalia, was rocked by suicide bombings coordinated by five suicide bombers in Hargeisa and Bosso, Poundland. At least 30 people were killed and 80 injured in the attacks. British Somaliland became independent in1960 followed by Italian Somaliland.
