Oι Syvros, Vournikas, Agos Elias are villages of the prefecture Lefkada.
THE Σύρβος is 32 km from the city Lefkada. It has 418 inhabitants according to the 2001 census. It is 7 km from its bay Basilica.
THE Saint Elias has a population of 158 inhabitants according to the 2001 census. It is located at an altitude of about 620 meters.
Generally
The name of the village has Homeric origin and indicates a place of pig breeding (sys = pig). The inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.
At low altitudes the olives dominate, while higher ones several plane trees appear. The place has a lot of water, which justifies the traditions of the older ones for most of the watermills of the village in the area, 24 in total.

It has one of the largest squares in the prefecture in its central point, which is called "Alexandros Panagoulis". Alexandros Panagoulis comes from Syvros, whose bust is located in the central square of the village.
In the area are the springs of the gorge of Kerasia, while also nearby is the cave Karouha.
