- Bregenz Forest (Bregenzerwald) - Mountainous area in the northern part of Vorarlberg.
- Μόνταφον (Montafon) - Valley in the southern part of Vorarlberg. Despite its isolation, the valley was the favorite vacation spot of author Ernest Hemingway, who wrote part of the hit movie "The Snows of Kilimanjaro," which has been made into a movie, and of former Chancellor Helmut Kohl. Also the German-Austrian vocalist of opera and lyric, Elizabeth Schwartzkoff spent the last years of her life in Montafon.

- Bludenz (Bludenz) - Known for the production of chocolate Milka, the Bludenz It is also a resort in the green valley of Il, a tributary of the Rhine.
