THE Chios is an island in the Eastern Aegean. It is not far from the coasts of Asia Minor. It is the fifth largest island in Hellas (904 sq. Km) with a coastline of 213 km and a population of 51,320 inhabitants.

How to get there
You can go to the island either by boat or by plane
Chios has a relatively modern airport and has regular transport to Athena. It also has regular communication with the airports of Mytilene, Samos, Rhodes, Heraklion and Lemnos with the airline Sky Express.
With ships departing daily from its port Piraeus.

What to see
- The village is an excellent example of medieval architecture Tower. The roads are narrow, the houses are high, two-storey and three-storey, most of them and continuously between them along the roads, in ancient times several houses had a pyramidal roof. The village retained its old form, as it was slightly affected by the catastrophic earthquake of 1881.
- New Monastery - is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites
