  • Acheng XiazhaaddressWest of Liulou Village, Acheng Town, Yanggu County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province2.5 kilometers north of Acheng Township)。IntroductionThere are 4 existing control gates in the Yanggu section of the Grand Canal Huitong River: Jingmen Upper Gate, Jingmen Lower Gate, Acheng Upper Gate, and Acheng Lower Gate. Built from the end of the 13th century to the beginning of the 14th century, it was made of bluestone masonry. The four gates have the same shape and are composed of piers, goose wings, stone walls, gates, etc. All of them are now abandoned, and the 4 gates are typical representatives of ancient Chinese stacked beam gates. The Achengxia Gate was built in the third year of Yuan Dade (1299). Due to the abandonment of the river, some of the stones on both sides of the cave were pulled away by the villagers. Part of the goose wings was damaged, and the gate was long gone. The gate was built with wood by later generations. Repaired in 2013. As the Yanggu section of the Huitong River, it was included in the World Cultural Heritage "Grand Canal" in 2014.

  • Jingmen gateWest of Shangzha Village, Zhangqiu Town, Yanggu County, Liaocheng City, Shandong)。IntroductionIt was built in the sixth year of Yuan Chengzong's great virtue (1302) and rebuilt in the ninth year of Ming Yongle (1411). The sluice body is all built with bluestone strips, and the stones are connected by dovetail pig iron buckles. Repaired in 2013. As the Yanggu section of the Huitong River, it was included in the World Cultural Heritage "Grand Canal" in 2014.
