Adelsön is a Swedish island in Mälaren, about 30 kilometers west of Stockholm city center. The maritime island is very much shaped by the age of the Vikings and seafaring and has a great variety of landscapes and species to offer.
1 Noble son has an area of about 26km² and is over 10 kilometers long in north-south direction. The width of the island in east-west direction is about 4 kilometers. On the island live in the place Adelsö about 750 people.

Adelsön is just across a ferry from 1 Munso to reach, the place is on the neighboring island of Ekerön in the Stockholm metropolitan area.

The island of Adelsön is very rich in nature. As is typical for the latitude, a large part of the island consists of coniferous forest. Hovgården on the island of Adelsön was a royal court of the Vikings, and Birka there was a trading post on the neighboring island of Börkö. You have been on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage.
