Aetingen is a Swiss Municipality in the canton Solothurn.

The place Aetingen lies as a street village on the southern slope of the Bucheggberg, a little higher than the Limpachtal. A large part of the village of Brittern also belongs to the community.

The community has no rail connection. It is open to public transport with a post bus line. This leads from Bätterkinden to Messen, and it is also possible to use the Bucheggberg on-call bus, which also opens up the community.

The community is located off the main roads. It is accessed by the connecting road from Lohn-Ammannsegg to Messen on the southern slope of the Bucheggberg.

Tourist Attractions

  • Reformed parish church. The reformed parish church was built in 1502 and expanded towards the end of the 17th century. It forms together with the one built in 1654 Rectory, which was built in 1794 Parish barn and the Pfrundstockli an attractive assembly.
