Chuí's Bar is a resort in the municipality of Santa Vitória do Palmar, in Rio Grande do Sul. It is well urbanized, with clubs and hotels. It is the southernmost resort of Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil, bordering on Barra del Chuy, in Uruguay, separated by the Chuí stream, it is the last piece of land in Brazil, or first.

The population of Barra do Chuí ranges from a mere 700 inhabitants in winter to 5,000 in summer, mostly Uruguayans. It has a radio beacon named Stella Maris, considered one of the most modern on the continent.

It has three social clubs: Clube Cruzeiro do Sul, Clube Alvorada and Clube Beira-Mar, the latter being the largest.

Its economy is sparse and depends almost 100% on tourism, which is hit hard when there are financial crises in Uruguay and Argentina.

It is a quiet and beautiful beach, but 2km away, crossing the bridge to the Uruguayan side, it is the stronghold of young people with several bars and parties with a lot of Argentine and Uruguayan music, where it is common to see young people from all over the region throwing parties until the dawn.
