Barysaŭ (Belarusian: Барысаў; also commonly known as Borisov - a transliteration of the Russian Борисов) is a city in Minsk voblasć, Belarus.

The Battle of Berezina took place near Barysaŭ in November 1812 during the Napoleon's march on Russia.Nowadays, the most probable reason for visiting the town is football: the local club BATE is the most successful Belarusian football team and the local football arena hosts international tournaments' matches.
