Beernem[1] is a municipality located between Ghent and Bruges in Bruges Surroundings[2] coast, in the province West Flanders[3].

There is an NMBS station [4] on the line Bruges-Ghent.There is a train in both directions every hour.

By bus

There are regional buses from The line' [5] that connect Beernem with Bruges & Knesselare.With the Belbus from The line can you go to Wingene.

By car

Beernem is easily accessible by car via the E40, exit 10 (Beernem). There are sufficient parking spaces in the various village centers of the sub-municipalities.

For motorhomes, there is a parking lot along the Bruges-Ghent canal (Gevaerts-South), near the marina.

By boat

The marina [6] has 90 jetties and pleasure boats up to 18 meters are welcome. The marina is located just outside a 5 km long high speed and water ski zone and has its own slipway. There are many facilities for the cruiser: toilets, showers, waste container, telephone, water, electricity and refueling facilities. Non-sailing visitors are also welcome.

  • De Kijkuit outdoor sports[7] - Here you have the opportunity to go out on the water yourself. Just give us a call and they will set up a kayak, canoe or rowing boat for you or your group (club, company, school). An excellent opportunity to discover the nature of the Miseriebocht from the water. If you prefer to stay on land, you can go out on a mountain bike. There are also packages (from 10 people) for one day, for a weekend or longer. A selection from the offer: climbing wall, obstacle course, archery, rafting, adventure forest.
