  • 1 Lorenzo's Sandwich Shop, 911 Villa Ave, 1 650 592-4321. An excellent sandwich shop hidden near Carlmont Village Shopping Center. Bring cash as they do not accept debit or credit cards. The hot pastrami sandwich on Dutch crunch roll is one of the popular choices.
  • 2 The Van's Restaurant, 815 Belmont Ave, 1 650 591-6525. A good steakhouse up on the hill. The building was erected as part of the Japanese exhibition for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. It was moved from SF to the current location after the exposition.
