Alliances

British Airways is a member of the oneworld alliance.

Route network and hubs

British Airways' main hub is London Heathrow (LHR). Here you can change from Europe mainly to America and Africa. BA also offers flights to Asia, but these are understandably rather unpopular from Europe with transfers in the UK.

Secondary hubs with flights to significantly fewer destinations are London-Gatwick (LGW) (with flights to various European cities and a few (few) destinations in the USA, the Caribbean, Sri Lanka and Africa) and London City (LCY) with some destinations in Europe plus a business class-only flight to New York.

Classes of carriage

British Airways offers the four classes of carriage Economy ("World Traveler / Euro Traveler"), Premium Economy ("World Traveler Plus"), Business ("Club World / Club Europe") and First. Only Economy is offered on all flights with the exception of the London City-New York JFK route. The Premium Economy is offered on all long-haul routes, the Business on all long-haul routes and on some European routes. First Class is offered on most, if not all, long-haul routes.

Lounges

Frequent flyer program

BA offers the frequent flyer program Executive Club, with which you can collect money from all onewold airlines in addition to BA.
