- 1 Bruniquel cave (1,5 km At the South-East)
closed to the public. –
traces of human activity dating back to 176,500 BC. Would be the oldest housing structure in the world.
- 2 Upper Mayrière cave (1,5 km south-southeast) –
ornate cave of paintings from the Upper Paleolithic, strongly degraded.
- 3 Bruniquel castles (set of two castles) –
the "old castle" or "castel biel" dates from the 6the century as the queen Brunehaut would have built according to legend. In the XVe century and quarrels, the “young castle” or “castel djoubé” was built a stone's throw away. In the XVIIIe century, the owner of the old castle bought the young one.
