background

This is a small fishing village on the bay of the same name. In the afternoon you can watch the fishermen when they come ashore with their catch. Bay Street is the main street. In the past, all boats for the reef tours left Buccoo. From the beach in Buccoo you can walk for about 90 minutes along the beach in a westerly direction. At the end of the headland one reaches No Man's Land with a barbecue area.

2.5 km southeast of Buccoo is the small town of Carnbee Village on the Auchenskeoch - Buccoo Bay Road. The settlement of Grange is around 1 km northeast of Buccoo.
