By plane
The international Palma de Mallorca Airport(IATA: PMI) is 22 kilometers away, from there it takes about 20 minutes by car.
By train
Bunyola has a train station on the route Ferrocarril de Sóller (so-called “red lightning”) from Palma to Sóller. The trip to / from Palma or Sóller costs € 8.50 for tourists and € 14.50 there and back.
By bus
The bus line 220 runs approximately every hour directly from Palma (Estació Intermodal) to Bunyola. Due to the many stops in between, the journey takes 40 to 45 minutes and costs € 2.10 (one way). The faster bus line 211 (Palma – Port de Sóller), which stops at the Jardins d'Alfàbia (approx. 3 km outside of the actual town). From Palma 21 minutes, € 1.80; from Sóller 11 minutes, 1.55 €. - Jardines de Alfabia (Jardins d'Alfàbia, Moorish Gardens), Ctra Palma - Soller Km 17 (on the Ma-11, 3 km northeast of the village of Bunyola). Tel.: 34 971 613 123, Email: [email protected]. Oriental gardens from the time of Islamic rule, which lasted on Mallorca into the 13th century. The water features, fountains and ponds even date back to the 12th century. The garden was created on behalf of the vizier Ben-Abet, who gave it to his favorite wife as a present. The garden is characterized by almost jungle-like overgrown parts with many exotic plants, shady arbors, but also paved paths. The mansion was rebuilt in the 17th century. Easily accessible by bus no. 211 (approximately every hour), which stops right in front of the entrance to the gardens and takes 21 minutes from Palma. - Mare de Déu de les Neus. Usually on the weekend (Sat / Sun) closest to August 5th. Festival in honor of the former local saint, who was replaced by Sant Mateu in the 19th century.
- Sant Mateu. Several days around September 21st. Festival with dances, theater and music.
