Byczyna commune it is located in the north-eastern part of the Opolskie Voivodeship, at the north-west end of the Silesian Upland, in Kluczbork County. The seat of the commune is the city Byczyna.
Geography
The total area of the commune is 183 km2, which constitutes 2.14% of the area of the Opolskie Voivodeship. It is inhabited by 10,050 people, including 3,800 in Byczyna. Through the area from the north-west (from Janówek) through Byczyna to the south-east (to Pogorzałka), there is a range of undulating hills. To the north and south of them there is a flatter, lowland area. The Prosna River - it is the largest watercourse in the commune, where the tiny Pratwa flows into it near Kostów.
