To get to Bålsta
Bålsta is close to some of Sweden's larger cities such as Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås, Enköping and Örebro so naturally it is very easy to get to Bålsta from those cities.
You can fly to Arlanda and from there get to Bålsta by bus or car, see below.
Bålsta can be reached by bus from many directions. If you come by plane, direct buses with UL go to and from Arlanda (numbers 803 and 870.) Bus 803 also goes to Enköping.
There are buses between Bålsta and Uppsala several times a day and the distance takes about 60 minutes (buses 895 and 896.)
There is also a bus line Enköping-Bålsta-Barkarby-Kista (898.)
SJ has regional trains that run half-hour traffic Västerås-Enköping-Bålsta-Sundbyberg-Stockholm. In addition, Bålsta terminus on Stockholm's commuter train line is 35. Estimated travel time to Stockholm Central is then 38 minutes and it departs every half hour.
The E18 passes Bålsta, which provides good travel opportunities by car. In addition, you can also reach Stockholm via the old E18. On the other side of the E18 are Enköping, Västerås and Arboga before it turns into the E20 on which you then come to Örebro.
You can reach Uppsala via Örsundsbro and road 55 or alternatively through Vassunda when you turn east after Ekilla farm in Bålsta.
The small roads that go to Stockholm, Uppsala and Enköping are bicycle-friendly.
