Chester County Historical Society (Museum & Library), West Chester, ☏ 1 610 692-4800. Definitely bigger and fancier than your average Historical Society Museum. One of the buildings was originally an opera house designed by the same architect who designed the capital dome in Washington, DC. (updated Apr 2018)
39.8712-75.67471 Longwood Gardens. A thousand acres of beautiful gardens, woodlands, and meadows. The spectacular fountains are a particular draw. During the holidays, they decorate the property with different themed lights. Overall, a must-see for plant lovers.
