Ciwidey is a city in Jawa Barat about 30 km southwest of the city Banding.

Ciwidey itself doesn't have a lot to offer for tourists. But there are simple accommodations and can either serve as a base or as a transit point for the natural sights further south-west.

Kawa Putih crater lake
- Kawah Putih. A warm, extremely acidic (pH value of 1 was determined by means of indicator paper in June 2013) crater lake with a milky-turquoise color and yellowish spots. There are sulfur deposits on the bank. Often clouds of mist move over the lake. The trees that surround him have died. Signs warn against staying in its vicinity for more than 15 minutes. - Taman Wisata Cimanggu, about 2.5 km southeast of Situ Patengan. It is a steaming secondary crater in which a small hamlet has been built. An entrance fee is charged.
