Central Costa Rica on the Pacific includes the entire northern territory of the Puntarenas province.
Urban centers
The main tourist places of its territory are listed below.
- Jacó - Capital of the canton of Garabito and lively tourist destination paradise for surfers and night owls, very popular thanks to its proximity to the capital, San José. It is located in the middle part of the coast on the Pacific between the two peninsulas.
- Manuel Antonio - Seaside resort and starting point for visiting the national park of the same name, the most famous and popular in the country.
- Montezuma - Small village with a "Rasta" vocation, ironically nicknamed "Montefuma", which hosts a large community of Italians. It overlooks the Gulf of Nicoya.
- Pochote - Seaside resort overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya.
- Puntarenas - It is the port where he embarks for the Nicoya Peninsula who instead landed at the airport of San José. Puntarenas is the largest center on the Pacific coast but the city has no tourist interest.
