Urban centers
- Dongying (东营; Dōngyíng) - Home of the second largest oil field nationwide.
- Laixi (萊西; Láixī) - Located in the center of gravity of the Shandong Peninsula.
- Laiyang (莱阳) - Agricultural city.
- Rizhao (日照; Rìzhào) - On the coast of the Yellow Sea, not far from the Fulai and Wulian mountains.
- Tsingtao (青岛, Qīngdǎo) - An important port and also a very popular seaside resort. It is also famous for the production of Tsingtao beer, the most famous of the China.
- Weihai (威海; Wēihǎi) - Seaside resort located at the eastern end of the peninsula. Previously, a British naval base.
- Yantai (煙臺; Yāntái) - Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, it is the most important fishing port in Shandong province.
