Community of Madrid (language Spain: Communidad de Madrid) is one of the 17 autonomous communities of Spain. It is located in the center of Spain, on the Iberian peninsula. This community includes Madrid, the capital of Spain It is also the capital of the community. The Community of Madrid is bordered by Castile-La Mancha to the south and east, and to the north and west by Castile and León. The population is estimated at 6.5 million, with the majority concentrated in the Madrid Metropolitan Area.
