Es Castell (also as Villacarlos known) is a municipality (Municipio) on Menorca.

The previous name Villacarlos is still partly in use, since 1985 the place is officially known as Es Castell or Spanish El Castell.

By boat
The port of Maó can be reached via the ME-2 from Es Castell in around 10 minutes, from where there are daily ferry connections to Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia.

All places on the coast are part of an attractive hiking trail along the entire coast. There are wonderful bathing bays and pristine beaches along the Cami de Cavalls.
