You Federated States of Micronesia[1] is a country in the northwest of the Pacific Ocean, made up of four major island groups, which make up a total of 607 islands located north of the equator.

The largest airline to travel to Micronesia is Continental Airlines, which operates a flight three times a week called the "island hopper (CO956 eastbound, CO957 westbound)", traveling between Honolulu—Majuro—Kwajalein—Kosrae—Pohnpei—Chuuk— Guam and vice versa. The trip takes fourteen and a half hours, starting in the morning and ending in the late afternoon, with a stop of about an hour on each island. There are also direct flights from several islands to Honululu and Guam.

Honululu is the most direct place to access the islands from North America. From Asia or Australia the best place to start will be Guam, although it is possible to travel to the islands from Manila via Palau.
