  • The Floreffe Abbey was founded in 1121 and still dominates the village, high up. From this abbey the priory at Postel was founded in 1138, which became an abbey independent from Floreffe in 1613. The large complex around a French furnished courtyard (Louis XIV style) was inhabited until the French Revolution by fathers of the Order of the Premonstratensians. Since 1819 it has housed an important diocesan college. A boarding school is attached to the large secondary school, which is housed in a modern new building on the south side of the complex. At the watermill brewery at the foot of the complex is an inn that attracts tourists with local products such as Bière de Floreffe, cheese, smoked sausage and abbey bread. Several festivals take place within the abbey walls, such as the festival of the accordion in the month of October.
  • On top of the hill against which the abbey is built is the Ferme de Robersart, a large farm around a courtyard. The farm and its surroundings are on the list of protected monuments.
  • Floreffe also attracts many tourists because of its caves.
