The airport Milan Linate is the second largest airport in Milan. There are national and European connections here.

In the greater area Milan there are three airports with Malpensa being the largest of them. The other two are the city airport Milan Linate and the at Bergamo located Orio al Seriowhich is mostly used by low-cost airlines.

getting there

By train

The airport currently has no rail connection. In the next few years, the M4 subway, which is currently under construction, will head for the airport.

By bus

The city bus lines are the cheapest means of transport to get to Milan. The ticket costs € 1.50 per journey and person. There are two ticket machines at the stop on the arrivals level. If you then want to continue driving in Milan city traffic, you can also purchase a day ticket for 4.50 euros from these machines.

  • The Express bus route X73 drives to the metro station San Babila (300 m east of the cathedral) with only a few stops (20-30 minutes) and runs every 20 minutes.
  • The Bus route 73 drives on the same route to San Babila with more stops and is therefore a little slower (30-40 min). It runs every 10 minutes during the day

With the taxi

Taxi ranks are located in the arrival area of the terminal on the left. The taxi ride costs between € 15 and € 30 for the trip into the city, depending on the traffic situation and time. There are also dubious providers (e.g. "Linate Fly Car Service") who try to persuade tourists to take a trip by addressing them directly. Here the journey costs 45 €.

In the street

The airport is located at the end of Viale Enrico Forlanini, which begins directly in the center of Milan at Piazza Fontana (via Verziere there). Three km west of the airport is Viale Enrico Forlanini to Tangenziale Est (A51), Symbol: AS 6, connected.
