The Futuroscope is an amusement park located at Chasseneuil-du-Poitou 7 kilometers north of Poitiers. Its theme is based on new technologies.

Understand

It was René Monory who initiated the project in 1984. On May 31, 1987, the Park opened its doors to the public, with the Kinémax which is the largest flat screen in Europe with 600m². The evolution of the Futuroscope attractions continues to improve over the years.

To go

By plane

Airport Poitiers-Biard is located about 10 kilometers south of Futuroscope which is then accessible by road to the north. Route Nationale 10 is the shortest and most direct route.

By train

Futuroscope has had its own high speed train station (TGV) since 2000; it is located between the stations of Poitiers and of Chatellerault, direct access from Paris-Montparnasse in 80 min about. From the back of the station, visitors can go directly to the park via a footbridge spanning the National 10 road. To get to the park with a more convenient choice of times, you can also get off at the train station. Poitiers then join the Futuroscope by road north, by bus or taxi (approximately 15 min).

  • By highway A10, exit at exit 28 Futuroscope (and not Poitiers), then follow Teleport 1. Exit at the last roundabout indicating the entrance to the Futuroscope car park on the left.

In all cases, the Futuroscope car parks are chargeable. Automatic checkouts are located under the porch, at the main entrance to the park. If you come for several days, you can park in your hotel car park which is free.

By bus

If you come from Poitiers, you can take the Vitalis bus line 1 or 1Express (or E on Sundays) in the direction of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou / Futuroscope; The "Parc du Futuroscope" stop takes you directly near the porch of the main entrance to the park.
