Glarus - one of the 26 cantons Switzerland located in the eastern part of the country. He joined the Confederation in 1352. One of the two cantons still ruled by a rally. Located in the Alps, it is 17th in terms of area and 23rd in terms of population. It is bordered by four other cantons: St. Gallen to the north and east, and St. Gallen to the south A rodent, on the west with Uri and Schwyz. The capital city is Glarus. The symbol of the canton is the figure of St. Frydolin, the Irish monk who Christianized the Germanic population in the Upper Rhine basin.
