To go
By car, you can get there by D181 since Ajaccio to the south or from Calvi North.
Circulate
The roads are narrow and sometimes congested with vehicles parked on the side, especially between Piana and Port.Girolata is only accessible by boat or by taking the hiking trail from Osani (Between 1 h 30 and 2 h walk from the Col de la Croix). The Scandola site is an integral reserve and visitors are not allowed there, even on foot. On the other hand, you can travel by boat (rented or on an organized excursion) along its coasts.
Do
In Porto, many companies offer boat trips to observe the creeks and / or the reserve from the sea. Small boats (10-15 passengers) can slip into some caves while larger boats can reduce the price. The complete walk takes half a day (4h), possibly with a stop at Girolata, the creeks alone 1 h 30, the reserve alone 2 h 30.
Departures have also taken place since Ajaccio and Calvi, but at a higher cost and only in large vessels.
