Goodyear is a municipality in the southwest of the Greater Phoenix in Arizona. Goodyear itself is nowadays difficult to distinguish without help, as it is growing closer and closer to the surrounding neighboring communities. Located at the foot of the Estralla mountain range, Goodyear is now like many American suburbs.

The town was originally founded as a home for workers on nearby cotton plantations for the Goodyear car tire company.

By plane
The closest major commercial airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor and is located in the center of Phoenix and is easiest to get to via Interstate I-10.
The Phoenix Goodyear Airport is located on S. Litchfield Road, in the heart of the city and is the home base of the Airline Training Center Arizona, where all future Lufthansa pilots are trained.

Intercity buses from Greyhound keep in Glendale, the neighboring city of Goodyears. From there you can take a taxi.
In the street
The interstate runs directly north of Goodyear and there are a total of four exits in the city area, Estrella Parkway, Litchfield Road, Dysart Road and Avondale Blvd.
