Gorzyce Wielkie is a large village of about 2,100 inhabitants, located in Greater Poland Voivodeshipin the middle Ostrów County and Ostrów Wielkopolski commune.

It is located approximately 5 km from Ostrów Wielkopolski (accessible by public transport) and is located on the poviat road to Sulmierzyc. The village has been known since 1402.

Worth seeing
The greatest monument is Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from 1936-48. There is a painting in the presbytery Coronation of the Mother of God from the mid-17th century, moved from Skrzebowa. On the eastern wall of the tower there is a wooden cross (13 meters high), dating from 1817 - it is the oldest such monument in Southern Greater Poland. Until 1939, it stood in the middle of the village.
It is also worth paying attention to court from the 19th century, one-story with a residential attic and a front porch on four pillars. Next to it, there are the remains of a park (area of 0.6 ha) and a farm complex from that period.
In the center there is a stone commemorating 15 victims of World War II. On the way to Radziwiłł a beautiful, two-kilometer avenue of chestnut trees with a circumference of up to 230 cm.
