Great Guana Cay is an island of Bahamas.

This island was also settled as a result of the American War of Independence. The American refugees initially settled on the main island of Great Abaco and on Elbow Cay. It wasn't until the 1820s that some of them came to Great Guana Cay as well.
This island is 12½ km north of Marsh Harbor, it is 9½ km long and 300 to 1,000 m wide. Scotland Cay and Fowl Cay connect to the southeast. Fowl Cay is a national park. 2 km southwest is the small Foot's Cay, it is privately owned. On the Atlantic side of the main island you will find a breathtakingly beautiful, 10 km long, fine sandy beach, which is protected by an offshore reef. It was only in the past two years that tourism began to be brought to the island. A 100 m long breakwater protects the harbor of Kidd's Cove. In the north is the Orchid Bay housing estate with a marina with 60 berths. A 150 room hotel and a 2.37 km² golf course at Baker's Bay are under construction. Luxury villas are being built on a further 100 hectares.
