To climb the freely accessible steel stairs you have to be a bit free from giddiness. How to get from the town hall to the castle ruins (approx. 900 m): At the town hall, turn left from Marktstrasse into Hochzeitstrasse. The castle gate with the tower of the former city fortifications can already be seen from here. Run to this gate and walk through it. Then continue uphill steadily until you come to a road (at the confluence there are two benches on the educational trail under a birch tree). Turn right here (no sign to the castle). The gravel road leads to the ruin. On the way there are two rest benches with a beautiful view of the old town.
