Greenwood is a city in Jamaica.

background

Roughly measured, Greenwood is found halfway between Montego Bay and Falmouth on the border of the Saint James and Trelawny counties. The development of former sugar cane fields began around 30 years ago. Wealthy citizens from the Montego Bay and Falmouth regions built some mansions there. On the sea side, some very simple fish restaurants were considered insider tips. In the course of the last few years, construction activity has increased significantly on both sides of the administrative border.
