Territories and tourist destinations

Urban centers

  • Qaqortoq - The largest city in southern Greenland, and belongs to the municipality of Kujalleq; its name means white, even if in summer countless wild flowers of every color bloom here.
  • Nanortalik - Small town in the far south of Greenland which belongs to the municipality of Kujalleq.
  • Narsaq - Southern Greenland city belonging to the municipality of Kujalleq; it is located a short distance from Narsarsuaq and can be reached by boat in 8 hours from Copenhagen.

Other destinations

  • Igaliku - Greenland village with about 35 inhabitants, founded in 1782.
  • Qassiarsuk - Village where about sixty people live. Located 5 km from Narsarsuaq.


How to get

By plane

From the international airport of Narsarsuaq (one of the most dangerous airports in the world) Air Greenland operates two weekly flights to / from Nuuk and one verse Copenhagen (in the summer there are two). Air Iceland instead has a weekly flight to / from Reykjavík.

On boat

The ship is a popular means of transport for short / medium range connections.
